Shield Argent, two wolf traps Sable, also called double hooks, in saltire with two pairs of points addorsed, flanked by four 6-point stars Gules, ordered 1:2:1.
Meaning:
The pattern was found on prints of a local court seal around 1800, having a circumscription "GERIECHTS INSIEGEL IN WESTERHEIM" (= court seal in Westerheim). Probably the pattern is just a local symbol. Written sources from 1842 claim a key as municipal arms. A corresponding seal had never been discovered. Since 1935 the former pattern was restored as municipal arms.
