Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale. The dexter half shows an upright silver (= white) key in a red field. The sinister side shows a black bear's paw in a silver (= white) field.
Meaning:
According to source the key is derived from the arms of Bremen, as the Bishops of Bremen ruled the area until 1648 when it became a Swedish possession. The bear's paw is taken from the arms of the Clüver kin, who acted from the 15th century until 1648 as administrators (Gogräfen) and judges in in the juridical district of Achim.
