Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a horizontal 3-stripes flag light-blue over white over light-blue with ratio 1:2:1. The coat of arms is in the white stripe and shifted to the hoist.

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Azure (celestial blue) parted by a bendlet wavy Argent, in sinister chief a pair of gable shelves Argent in saltire, both ending in horseheads, in dexter base a windmill Argent.
Meaning:
The crossed shelves with horseheads are a typical decoration of gables on Lower Saxonian farmhouses.
