(defunct):
"The flag has two equal fields, the upper golden yellow,
symbolizing the richness of its production, and the lower emerald
green, symbolizing the greenness of its fields. A white star in
the middle represents the rural parish."
The canton is made of the single rural parish of Tarifa and 105
"recintos" (enclosures).
The provincial
website gives something slightly different:
"The flag is made of two horizontal stripes, the first, pale
yellow, symbolizing the fame of the canton and its celebrities,
and the second, emerald green, representing the exuberant
agriculture, all over the stripes, a star."
