From pictures I have seen, the exact pattern used for Republican brigades varied from one flag to the other but had the same basic elements: republican tricolore defaced with the unit's brigade designation over the COA and other items (logo, nickname, battalion, etc...) below.
Some variations of Republican colours can be seen here.

Roberto Pla, webmaster of the unofficial (but very good) Ejército del Aire website (Spanish Air Force) sent me this image of the flag of the 1st Air (Force) Region during the Second Spanish Republic (1931-1939). His source is a photograph he took of the actual flag in the Spanish Air Museum.

This flag follows the new design approved by the Government of the Second Republic in the Ordinance of 27th April 1931:
(...) Flags of [Military] Units shall be of the same shape and dimensions as the Regulation ones used up to now (...) Flagpoles shall be of the same shape and dimensions as the current ones (...)A later Order of 6th May 1931 specified that the flags should have a 1 m side. Another change is of course the purple colour of the lower stripe, and the size of the stripes which became of equal width, each 1/3 of the flag's height. The Burgundy Cross also disappears except in Legión pennants (guiones and banderines). The arms was modified and the royal crown replaced with a mural one. Source: Manzano 1997 [mzn97].

Flag of the Republican 71 Brigada Mixta 283 Batallón (original or replica).

The number of the battalion would make sense for one belonging to the 71st brigade. I couldn't find an order of battle for the 71st but at four battalion per brigade with the the highest of the 69th being 276 and the lowest for the 77th being 305, this would fit in.

The flag of The Legion ("La Legión") was used between the years 1931-1936. It can be seen in the Museo de la Legión de Ceuta.
