Symbols of Lubrín

The flag of Lubrín was adopted on 10 July 2008 by the Municipal Council, as stated in the Announcement signed on 30 July 2008 by the Mayor and published on 22 August 2008 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 164, p. 83 (text).
The flag, proposed by the Instituto de Heráldica y Vexilología Municipal "Borbone", is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular panel in proportions 2:3, horizontally divided in three stripes, the central white and the extreme green, in respective width 1/6, 1/4 and 1/6 of the flag's width, charged in the middle with the municipal coat of arms in full colours.

The process of validation of the flag does not appear to have been continued in due time, since the very same flag was adopted again on 24 February 2015, as stated in the Announcement (strictly identical to the previous one, the dates excepted) signed on 27 February 2015 by the Mayor and published on 24 March 2015 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 57, p. 848 (text).

The coat of arms of Lubrín, adopted on 25 February 1988 by the Municipal Council and submitted on 19 November 1988 to the Government of Andalusia, is prescribed by Decree No. 14, adopted on 7 February 1989 by the Government of Andalusia and published on 3 March 1989 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 17, p. 716 (text). This was confirmed by a Decree adopted on 30 November 2004 by the Government of Andalusia and published on 20 December 2004 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 246, pp. 28,986-29,002 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Checky of eight azure and seven argent, 2. Vert a wheat spike and a branch of olive all or per saltire. A bordure gules charged with eight saltires or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.

The first quarter features the arms of the Álvarez de Toledo lineage, Dukes of Alba. The second quarter symbolizes agricultural riches. The bordure is alluding to the López de Haro lineage, Marquis of El Carpio, which subsequently merged with the house of Alba.
