Presentation of Navalperal de Pinares

The municipality of Navalperal de Pinares (902 inhabitants in 2014; 4,283 ha) is located in the south-east of the Province of Ávila, on the border with the Province of Segovia, 30 km of Ávila.
Navalperal de Pinares belonged to the Community of the Town and Land of Ávila until the 17th century, when the village was transferred to the domain of Las Navas, owned by the Marquis of Villafranca y Las Navas until the suppression of the feudal system.

Symbols of Navalperal de Pinares

The flag of Navalperal de Pinares is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 2 September 2014 by the Municipal Council, signed on 7 October 2014 by the Mayor, and published on 16 October 2014 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 199, p. 71,259 (text).
The flag is not described in the Decree.

The coat of arms of Navalperal de Pinares is "ratified" by the same Decree, which does not describe it, either. The coat of arms was originally prescribed by Decree No. 1,574, adopted on 27 December 1962 by the Spanish Government and published on 14 January 1963 in the Spanish official gazette, No. 12, p. 577 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Vert semé of pine cones [pinares] or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown.
