The municipality of Villatoro (200 inhabitants in 2009; 5,613 ha) is located in the center of Ávila Province, 40 km of Ávila.

Symbols of Villatoro

The flag and arms of Villatoro are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 26 July 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 10 July 2001 by the Mayor and published on 25 July 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 144, p. 11,344 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of two equal vertical stripes embattled, at hoist white with two red boars, at fly red with an open white book charged with the numeral "1503".
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Vert two boars argent per pale, 2. Gules a castle or masoned sable port and windows azure, grafted in base azure an open book sable charged with the numeral "1503". The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
