The municipality of Calzadilla de los Barros (755 inhabitants in 2019 vs. 1,619 in 1960; 5,220 ha) is located 100 km south-east of Badajoz and 20 km south-east of Zafra.

The flag of Calzadilla de los Barros (photo,
photo), adopted on 27 February and 3 July 1998 by the Municipal Council and validated on 5 October and 16 November 1998 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, is prescribed by an Order issued on 26 November 1999 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 14 December 1999 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 146, p. 9,334 (text).
The flag, a banner of the municipal arms, is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Composed of a white panel divided by a white diagonal running from the hoist's upper angle to the fly's lower angle, outlined in green. A red Cross of Saint James surrounded by two red scallops in the fly's triangle and a red lion rampant in the hoist's triangle.
The coat of arms of Calzadilla de los Barros, adopted on 27 February and 3 July 1998 by the Municipal Council and validated on 5 October 1998 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 23 October 1998 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 3 November 1998 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 126, p. 8,014 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Argent a bend argent fimmbriated vert cantonned in chief by a Cross of Saint James gules surroundered by two scallops of the same in base by a lion rampant gules. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
