The municipality of Castrillo de la Reina (217 inhabitants in 2012; 1,445 ha) is located in the southeast of the Province of Burgos, 65 km of Burgos.

Symbols of Castrillo de la Reina

The flag and arms of Castrillo de la Reina are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 30 September 2011 by the Municipal Council, signed on 6 October 2011 by the Mayor, and published on 19 October 2011 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 202, p. 78,859 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of three horizontal, equal stripes; from top to bottom, red, white, and yellow. In the center of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms, whose height shall be 60% of the flag's height.
Coat of arms: Shield gules (red) a castle or ports and window azure (blue) masoned sable (black) and with three towers, the central higher, ensigned with seven five-pointed stars argent forming an arch, the three central bigger. The shield surmounted with a Spanish Royal crown.
