The municipality of Valle de Mena (3,826 inhabitants in 2015; 26,318 ha; municipal website) is the north-easternmost province of the Province of Burgos, on the border with Cantabria and Basque Country, 120 km of Burgos. Cadagua

Cadagua is located near the source of river Cadagua (caudal de agua, lit. "abundance in water"), one of the three rivers in Castilla y León that water Cantabria.
The flag and arms of Cadagua are prescribed by a Decree
adopted on 14 November 2003 by the Village Council, signed the same
day by the Mayor, and published on 24 November 2003 in the official
gazette of Castilla y León, No. 228, p. 15,497 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Quadrangular, 1:1. Vertically divided 1/4 white and the rest yellow. The municipal coat of arms of Cadagua is placed on the vertical division of the panel.
Coat of arms: Or rocks sable in base three sources and a river azure surrounded by two trees eradicated vert a chief argent a six-pointed star azure a wild boar passant sable injured and langued gules. The shield surmounted with the Spanish Royal crown.

Covides

The flag and arms of Covides are prescribed by a Decree
adopted on 9 February 2003 by the Village Council, signed on 11
February 2003 by the Mayor, and published on 24 February 2003 in the
official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 37, p. 2,848 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, made of a green panel charged with an isosceles triangle, whose base is the flag's hoist and whose vertex reaches the mid fly. On the white triangle is placed the coat of arms, 1/4 from the hoist, in height 1/2 of the flag's height.
Coat of arms: Vert a garb of three wheat spikes argent a tree of the same. Grafted argent a millstone vert. The shield surmounted with the Spanish Royal crown.
The flag is modelled on the coat of arms, the curved lines being replaced by straight lines for the sake of simplicity and elegance. On the arms, the spikes and the tree represent the crops and the natural environment, respectively. The flour millstone represents human activity.

Menamayor

Village Council, are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 12 March 2003
by the Village Council, signed the same day by the Mayor, and
published on 2 May 2003 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 82, p. 6,466 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Quadrangular, 1:1. Yellow with a red triangle placed along the hoist. In the heart of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules the arms of Castile, 2. Or a grapevine vert fructed sable. Grafted in base, or an apple vert. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.

Sopeñano

adopted on 24 April 2002 by the Village Council, signed the same day
by the Mayor, and published on 24 May 2002 in the official gazette of

The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Quadrangular, 1x 1. On white three gyrons placed along the hoist, red, yellow, and the central, blue, longer. In the center of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Azure rocks argent a tree vert eradicated fructed or, 2a. Gules a castle of Castile in canton palms or per saltire a mitre of the same with infulae, 2b. Or a mule passant sable laden with goods. Grafted in base a fess wavy azure. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
