The flag and arms of Jaraicejo, adopted on 1 June 1992 by the Municipal Council and validated on 20 October 1992, 15 February and 25 May 1993 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 28 May 1993 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 5 June 1993 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 66, pp. 1,517-1,518 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, composed of three equal horizontal stripes, the upper red, the lower blue and the central white, charged at hoist with a crimson triangle placed along the hoist and whose opposed vertex reaches 1/3 of the flag's length.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1a. Gules a castle or masoned sable port and windows azure, 1b. Vert a cotice argent, 2. Azure a vase or with lilies argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
The description of the coat of arms in the original Order omits the crown. The corrected description was published on 19 June 1993 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 72, p. 1,800 (text).
The flag in use (photo) appears to be charged with the municipal coat of arms.
