The municipality of Robledillo de Gata (91 inhabitants in 2019 vs. 599 in 1900; 3,107 ha) is located on the border with Castilla y Leén (Province of Salamanca), 120 km north of Cáceres and 60 km south of Ciudad Rodrigo.
The village, one of the best preserved examples of traditional Extramadurean architecture, was proclaimed an Historical Monument by Decree No. 39, issued on 7 March 1994 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 15 March 1994 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 30, pp. 826-828 (text).

The flag of Robledillo de Gata, adopted on 22 December 1995 by the Municipal Council and validated on 17 May 1995 and 17 October 1995 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, is prescribed by an Order issued on 22 February 1996 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 14 March 1996 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 31, pp. 1,099-1,100 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Composed of two equal horizontal stripes, the upper blue and the lower white. Charged with the municipal coat of arms in full colors.
The coat of arms of Robledillo de Gata, adopted on 28 January 1995 by the Municipal Council and validated on 17 May 1995 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, is prescribed by an Order issued on 19 May 1995 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 27 May 1995 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 62, pp. 2,413-2,414(text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per bend sinister, 1. Azure a vase of lilies all argent, 2. Argent an oak [roble] eradicated vert. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
