The flag of Palencia Province (photo, Provincial Government) is purple with the provincial coat of arms in the center (Manual de identidad corporativa, p. 9).
The usual flag has proportions 2:3, with the coat of arms half as high as the flag. The shade of purple used for the field is Pantone 2613.

The only official alternative to the flag with 2:3 proportions is the square flag used on official cars (Manual de identidad corporativa, p. 9). In this case, the arms is to occupy almost all of the height of the flag (the image in the official source shows the arms about 82% as high as the flag).

The coat of arms of the Palencia Province ((Manual de identidad corporativa, p. 2), is prescribed by a Decree approved on 25 January 1949 by the Minister of Government and on 5 February 1949 by the Provincial Government, as:
Per pale per fess quarterly of seven pieces, six of them representing the old Legal Districts (partidos judiciales) of the Province, and all over the seventh representing the capital;
1. Per fess, 1. Argent a double-headed eagle sable, 2. Azure three fleurs-de-lis argent (La Frechilla);
2. Two stags passant on a river's bank and a bridge all proper (Cervera);
3. Quarterly per saltire, chief and base gules five bends or dexter and sinister azure the writing "Ave Maria" argent (Saldaño);
4. Per fess, 1. Vert a seven-pointed star or, 2. Gules a bull's head proper (Estudillo);
5. Per pale, 1. Azure a cart or, 2. Argent a lion rampant gules (Carrión);
6. Gules five towers or port and windows azure per saltire (Baltanás).
Inescutcheon: Quarterly, 1. and 4. Azure a cross flory or, 2. and 3. Gules a castle port and windows azure (Palencia).
The shield surmounted by a Royal crown open.
Motto, on the flanks, "Armas y Ciencia" [Arms and Science].
