2002 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 158, p. 18,664 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, vertically divided in the middle, at hoist, blue, and at fly, green. Superimposed in the center with the crowned coat of arms.
The coat of arms of Beamud is prescribed by an Order issued on 9 December 2002
by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 20 December
2002 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 158, p. 18,664 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per fess, 1a. Gules five hearts argent, 1b. Or a wolf sable, 2. Azure three poplars proper over a river argent. [Crown not mentioned].The Royal Academy of History found the proposed arms "acceptable", provided a few modifications are performed. The green poplars should not be placed on a blue field, since the chromatic proximity between the two colors suppress contrast. The Academy proposed to use a white field instead. The waves shall run from one edge of the shield to the other and fill its whole lower third, in compliance with the rules of heraldry. The hearts in the first quarter are exaggeratedly small; they should, instead, have a size allowing them to harmoniously fill the space. The Academy did not raise any objection to the proposed flag, provided the coat of arms is corrected as suggested.
