The flag of Castejón (photo,

photo) is prescribed by an Order issued on 16 April 1997
by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 2 May 1997 in
the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 19, p. 2,373 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, composed by four horizontal stripes in proportions 1/2, 1/6, 1/6, and 1/6, in descending order, yellow with a red castle, green, white, and blue.
The coat of arms of Castejón is prescribed by an Order issued on 16
April 1997 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 2
May 1997 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 19, p. 2,373 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules a castle or, 2. Argent a parchment proper with date "1563" sable. Grafted in base, waves azure and argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
The Royal Academy of History rejected the proposed symbols.
The quarter charged with the parchment is "in no way acceptable", being
totally not compliant with the graphic types and concepts of heraldry.
The flag features an illogical alteration of the colors of the charge
taken from the coat of arms.
