The municipality of Valverdejo (102 inhabitants in 2018; 3,247 ha) is located 70 km south of Cuenca.

Symbols of Valverdejo

The flag of Valverdejo is prescribed by an Order issued on 23 August 1999 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 31 August 1999 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 57 p. 6,084 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, white, charged in the center with a Trinitarian cross throughout, with four blue stars placed in each angle, according to the drawing.

The coat of arms of Valverdejo is prescribed by an Order issued on 23 August 1999 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 31 August 1999 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 57 p. 6,084 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Argent a cross throughout composed of an arm vertical gules superimposed to another horizontal azure orled by 12 stars azure forming a circle. The shield surmounted by a Spanish Royal crown.

The Royal Academy of History validated the proposed symbols "without difficulty". Designed from scratch, the emblems feature as fundamental elements the Trinitarian cross and stars alluding to the dedication of the village to the Pregnant Virgin, know in Spanish as Virgen de la O.
