Presentation of Orusco de Tajuña

The municipality of Orusco de Tajuña (1,283 inhabitants in 2014; 2,151 ha) is located in the south-east of the Community of Madrid, on the border with Castilla-La Mancha (Province of Guadalajara).

Symbols of Orusco de Tajuña

The flag (photos, photo) and arms of Orusco de Tajuña are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 13 April 1989 by the Government of the Community of Madrid and published on 8 May 1989 in the official gazette of the Community of Madrid, No. 108, p. 8 (text), and on 23 June 1989 in the Spanish official gazette, No. 149, p. 19,556 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Green with a red bend outlined in yellow, charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms in full colours.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1a. Argent a lion rampant purpure, 1b. Argent rocks proper, 2. Quarterly per saltire, 1. and 4. Vert a bend gules fimbriated or, 2. and 3. Or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
