The municipality of Alba de Yeltes (248 inhabitants in 2012; 2,236 ha) is located in the southeast of Salamanca Province, 70 km from Salamanca.
Alba de Yeltes is the seat of a County (genealogy) established on 2 March 1659 for Luis Nieto de Silva Gama y Melo, Lord of Villalba, Regidor of Ciudad Rodrigo, Knight of the Order of Calatrava. The 12th Countess of Alba de Yeltes is Marianela de la Trinidad de Aguilera y Lodeiro, who succeeded in 1965 her uncle Gonzalo de Aguilera y Munro, a pioneer of radio in Spain.

The flag and arms of Alba de Yeltes are prescribed by a Decree adopted
on 23 March 2013 by the Municipal Council, signed on 27 May 2013 by
the Mayor, and published on 19 June 2013 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 116, p. 41,418 (text).
The symbols are not described in the Decree.
