The municipality of Ituero y Lama (333 inhabitants in 2010; 1,319 ha) is located in the south of Segovia Province, 30 km from Segovia.
Ituero y Lama is named for two medieval places, "Domingo Ioan de Fituero", that is "Domingo Juan's post [hito]", and Lama, "a plain rich in sources and ponds". In the past, the village was a main center of lime extraction, used all over the Segovia region.
