The municipality of Marazoleja (132 inhabitants in 2009; 2,636 ha) is located 30 km from Segovia. Incorporated in 1969 to the municipality of Sangarcía, Marazoleja was restored in 1983 as an independent municipality.

The flag and arms of Marazoleja, designed by Vicente Tocino Letrado and Tomás Rodríguez
Peñas are prescribed by a Decree adopted on
30 August 2005 by the Municipal Council, signed on 14 November 2007 by
the Mayor, and published on 4 December 2007 in the official gazette of
Castilla y León, No. 235, p. 22,769 (text).
The symbols are described
as follows:
Flag: Rectangular with proportions 2:3, made of a yellow panel with a diagonal blue stripe of 1/4th the flag's length, running from the upper hoist to the lower fly.
Coat of arms: Or a bend wavy azure in chief a church's tower gules masoned sable port and windows sable in base three spikes vert. The shield surmounted by the Royal closed crown.
The yellow field represents arable land, while the wave represents river Zorita.
The tower belongs to the St. John the Evangelist church. The spikes represents crops such as wheat, barley and rye (El Adelantado de Segovia, 22 November 2005; El Norte de Castilla, 4 March 2009).
