Presentation of Mozoncillo

The municipality of Mozoncillo (1,084 inhabitants in 2009; 4,274 ha) is located in the center of Segovia Province, 30 km from Segovia.
Mozoncillo was mentioned for the first time, as Moçonçiello, in a document kept in the Archives of the Cathedral of Segovia, dated 1 June 1247.

Symbols of Mozoncillo

The flag and arms of Mozoncillo are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 29 September 2006 by the Municipal Council, signed on 15 February 2007 by the Mayor, and published on 26 February 2007 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 40, p. 4,111 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of three equal horizontal stripes, green on top, white in the middle and blue on bottom, the municipal coat of arms in the middle.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules a two-staged aqueduct argent masoned sable a human head argent, 2a. Or four pines eradicated vert placed in two pales of two, 2b. Argent a bend wavy azure. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
