Presentation of Bayubas de Abajo

The municipality of Bayubas de Abajo (146 inhabitants in 2017, 4,409 ha) is located 50 km south-west of Soria and 15 km north of Berlanga de Duero. The municipality is made of the villages ofBayubas de Abajo, Aguilera and La Estación.

Symbols of Bayubas de Abajo

The flag and arms of Bayuba de Abajo are prescribed by an Agreement adopted on 10 October 2017 by the Municipal Council, signed on 20 December 2017 by the Mayor and published on 28 December 2017 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 247, p. 53,200 (text).
The symbols, which were validated on 30 October 2017 by the Chronicler of Arms of Castilla y León, are described as follows.

Flag: Rectangular panel in proportions 3:2 (length to width). Horizontally tierced, the central stripe twice higher than the outer ones; the outer stripes, blue, the central stripe, white. In the center, the municipal coat of arms.
Coat of arms: Spanish shield. Per pale, 1a. Azure an atalaya tower argent port and windows and masoned sable over three fesses wavy argent, 1b. Azure a chapel argent masoned sable, 2. Argent a resin pine vert the trunk proper surmounted by a plow sable. The shield surmounted by a Royal Spanish crown closed.
