The municipality of Castrillo de la Guareña (139 inhabitants in 2010; 2,191 ha) is located in the southeast of Zamora Province, 50 km from Zamora.

The flag and arms of Castrillo de la Guareña are prescribed by a
Decree adopted on 28 November 2000 by the Municipal Council, signed on 18 April 2001 by
the Mayor, and published on 10 May 2001 in the
official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 90, p. 7,221 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of three horizontal stripes with proportions 2:3, 1:6 and 1:6, the upper stripe red with a yellow castle, the middle stripe white and the lower stripe blue.
Coat of arms: Gules a castle or masoned sable port and windows azure surrounded by two bunches of grapes or, in base waves argent and azure. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
