Symbols of Cotanes del Monte

The flag and arms of Cotanes del Monte are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 27 March 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 3 April 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 18 April 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 76, p. 6,229 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of two equal vertical stripes, at hoist white, at fly red with ten yellow disks placed 4 + 3 + 2 + 1.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Argent a mound vert charged with a well argent masoned sable, 2. Gules a bunch of grapes or. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.

The municipal flag uses the same elements and colors as the flag of Zamora, the five red stripes representing here the five villages of the municipality.
