The municipality of Madridanos (508 inhabitants in 2012; 1,583 ha) is located in the southwest of the Zamora Province, 15 km from Zamora. The municipality is made of the villages of Madridanos (capital) and Bamba (29 inh.).

The flag and arms of Madridanos are prescribed by a Decree adopted on
1 July 2009 by the Municipal Council, signed on 27 April 2011 by the
Mayor, and published on 6 May 2011 in the official gazette of the
Zamora Province, No. 57, p. 58 (text).
The symbols are not described in the Decree.
The stone sculpture of the coat of arms offered by Aristadas Blanco to
the municipality give some hint on the design of the arms (La Opinión de Zamora, 1 October 2009).
The upper part of the shield represents the chapel of the Virgen del
Aviso, located in Bamba. The chapel is ensigned by two stars
representing the deserted villages of Santa María del Valle and
Villanueva de Valdegema. The lower dexter quarter is charged with two
bunches of grape, recalling the significance of wine-growing for the
economy of the region. The lower sinister quarter depicts a hare,
symbolizing hunting.
The coat of arms was designed by Jesús de San Marcelo Vasallo.
