Introduction

Lazarus is a comic strip, by Gregory "Greg" Rucka, first published in 2013. The storyline is as follows:

In a dystopian near-future, government is a quaint concept, resources are coveted, and possession is 100% of the law. A handful of Families rule, jealously guarding what they have and exploiting the Waste who struggle to survive in their domains. Forever Carlyle defends her family's holdings through deception and force as their protector, their Lazarus. Shot dead defending the family home, Forever's day goes downhill from there…
Publication description for trade paperback Lazarus, vol. 1: Family
Forever Carlyle is a lazarus: an enforcer for a powerful family with a way of simply … not dying. This dystopian world where she lives might be technologically futuristic, but it's socially feudal. Rather than governments, the public is ruled by families—or factions—like the Carlyles who control all the resources and power and mete out justice much like medieval lords. A Carlyle daughter, Forever is ambivalent at best about her brutal role, but like most of us she's isn't trying to change the world—just live in it.

Clans

In issue #11, the front cover shows several flags. Here's one of the logos featured in one of the flags in the front cover issue. It seems that the flags are those of the clans which rule the world.
