Introduction

The Terminal is a 2004 comedy-drama film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. It is about a man trapped in a terminal at JFK International Airport when he is denied entry into the United States and at the same time cannot return to his native country, the fictitious Krakozhia, due to a revolution. The film is said to be inspired by the 18-year-stay of Mehran Karimi Nasseri in the Charles de Gaulle International Airport, Terminal I, Paris, France from 1988 to 2006. (Source: English Wikipedia)

Watching the film The Terminal, one can see that during the tv news reports of the civil war in Krakozhia (Кракожия), they show a flag. This flag is an equally horizontally divided blue/yellow/red flag, as seen here.

On Steven Spielberg’s movie The Terminal (2004) Tom Hanks plays as a citizen of a fictional former soviet republic called Krakozhia. Its flag appears on three scenes (all times on TV sets) and it’s divided on three horizontal bars from top to bottom blue, yellow and red, with a coat of arms in the middle of the yellow bar.

Sounds like its modelled on Moldova’s, but horizontal rather than vertical.
