A vertical green stripe at the hoist, that serves to represent the Village Green. It is charged with three cowslips, Northamptonshire’s county flower and thrives in local hedgerows around Evenley a reminder of our rural aspect of the village. The remainder of the field is gold, Northamptonshire’s colour also which is a reference to trees having been cleared to make room for the village and is reflected in the meaning of the ancient name of Evenley (Imley, Imnley and Evelai) from the Saxon meaning a flat clearing 'the clearing of the woodland'. Upon the gold field is a green dragon being slain with a lance and St. George’s pennant denotes our church and patron Saint of our village is upon this gold field.
