LS was established on 24 January 1998 in Zagreb as a splinter of HSLS.

Flag of LS

The flag of LS is blue with a yellow stripe forming the letter "L". The flag is hoisted on the party headquarters in Zagreb, Ilica Street. The party's emblem - described in the party's statutes while the flag is not - is a blue square with the yellow letter "LS", and, behind it an other yellow square shifted downwards and rightwards.
