The municipality of Pašman (2,004 inhabitants in 2001, 383 in the village of Pašman) is located on the island of the same name covering the most of the island, about 30 km east of Zadar; the southern end of the island constitutes the municipality of Tkon.
Today the main industry on the island is tourism, especially since its good ferry connection with Zadar provides an easy acces to the island, which is still mostly retaining its original ambiance.

The symbols of Pašman were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, light blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
