CPISRA's history begins with the founding of the International
Cerebral Palsy Society (ICPS) in 1969. Part of the ICPS was a sports
and leisure group who organised the first Cerebral Palsy games in
London in 1972. It is the leading international sports organisation governing and
promoting sport and recreation for Cerebral Palsy (CP) and related
neurological conditions. The organization hosts the Cerebral Palsy Games (CPISRA World Games /
CP Games)." (Source)
