Located in Kashiwa City Chiba Prefecture and established in 1959. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold emblem and vertically written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has dark green background with a white emblem and white English university name written horizontally. The plant designed on the university emblem is Manryo coralberry. While Senryo nine-knotted flower which produces bright red berries in extremely cold weather, bears its berries on its leaves, "Manyo" produces its red berries quietly in the shade of its leaves. Senkuro Hiroike, the founder of the school, whose basic philosophy was to unify intellectual and moral education based on moral science, is said to have been extremely fond of the modesty of the Manryo.
