This variant shows the same red-blue-green colours, with the national flag's canton in the upper hoist, and a yellow dancing figure in the blue stripe.

The primary source of this flag is a personal, local observation by Michel
Lupant, reported, with due credit, in Francia
Vexilla (27/73, September 2002; 28/74, December 2002). The original
artwork in Francia Vexilla is by Hervé Calvarin. The image above as
published in Wikipedia was made by Jaume Ollé.

With the adoption of a new national flag for Burma-Myanmar in 2010, I guess
the Kayah state flag has had to change, at least to remove the former Burmese
national flag (1973-2010) of the canton, as show on Mello Luchtenberg website
http://www.vexilla-mundi.com/myanmar_divisions.html .

From what I was able to gather, the national flag was dropped from the canton and the emblem used in Antonio's image was put in the center. The exact date of this change is not certain.
