Belship Co. Ltd is a shipping agency at Port Louis, Mauritius.
According to the company website, it
was founded by Mr Yves Bellepeau (hence the name "Belship" I suppose) in
1996, and lists a number of activities typically associated with shipping
agencies such as customer clearance, warehousing, forwarding, even bunkering
services. Image
at the site shows a white flag bearing an initial "B",
for Bellepeau, I expect; the letter seems to be black.

In The Caltex book of Flags and Funnels
[scx59], as #150, Colonial Steamships
(Pty.) Ltd., Mauritius — blue flag, white disk, "S" within
"C", all blue. (Possibly connected to
Christen Smith, Norway.)

Mauritius Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. The connection to
BISN is not clear. In the early 1970s Lloyds
showed its address «a/s c/- BISN» but the ships were shown under
Rogers & Co. Ltd. who are a major conglomerate of assorted interests
[described by one source as a holding company for hundreds] based in
Port Louis and operating since 1899. They were
shipowners from 1932 forming Colonial Steamships Co. Ltd.
Records of the Mauritius SN Company ships in the early 1970s define Rogers
& Co. as managers and BISN and then P&O
as operators. The last mention of Mauritius SN Co. is in the formation in
1996 of a joint venture with Rogers & Co. Ltd. and Indian Ocean Bulk
Carriers Ltd. to own 2 vessels but this seems to have been of very short
duration. The company may still exist, possibly in abeyance.
