The flag consists of a rectangular field divided vertically it two equal stripes, the hoist is blue and the fly is yellow, with the coat of arms in the middle of the flag. This flag is in used at the Congress building since 7 March 2023.

On 19 January 2023, the flag featuring the State's Legislature was revised. It keeps the blue and yellow background, the coat of arms is that of 2011 all over a white background, resulted of the fabric patch added to the flag. It was replace on 7 March 2023.

The flag was first used on 14 September 2016 and replaced on 19 January 2023. It consists on the blue and yellow field charged with the 1989 coat of arms and the text “Poder Legislativo” in gold and capital letters below the coat of arms.

The state flag of the Legislature used from 14 September 2010 to September 2016 consisted in the traditional blue and yellow field with the coat of arms adopted in 2010 with a slight variation in the helmet and mantling. The golden text “Poder Legislativo” was placed in capital letters centered below the coat of arms.

The ceremonial flag is the National flag, i. e, the green-white-red tricolor, with the state’s full name “Estado Libre y Soberano de Jalisco” in gold and capital letters forming an arc above the coat of arms; below the arms in a straight line in gold and capital letters too the text “Poder Legislativo”.
