There is an enclave of Belgium in the south-central
Netherlands.
This enclave is called Baarle-Hertog. But,
in fact, there isn't just one enclave in this tiny area. There are lots
of them here. There are Dutch enclaves in Belgian enclaves which are themselves
in the Dutch territory -- a Macedonian salad, as we say in French. Consider
that there are two main enclaves: Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau, of Belgium
and Netherlands, respectively. If you want to have more information, I
suggest you have a look in the Winkler Prins Encyclopedia, at the
articles Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau. I have copied a little map of
the town, where there are very tiny enclaves -- just the place to put a
flag. This encyclopedia is in Dutch.

Because some enclaves are very tiny (there are boundaries across houses!)
they found a way to identify where the Belgian and Dutch parts are. Next
to every front door there is painted a little.... (yes).... flag! If the
front door is on Belgian territory the flag is a Belgian tricolour, and
if the front door is on Dutch territory the flag is the Dutch tricolour.
