adopted ?
Granted 17 Jul 1989.
Mijdrecht was until 1 Jan 1989 a municipality; it was then merged with Vinkeveen en Waverveen, and Wilnis, to form the new municipality of De Ronde Venen, with its seat in Mijdrecht.
Description of the old Mijdrecht flag:
Three stripes white - red - white, proportioned 1:4:1; in the center
of the red stripe a turned Agnus Dei with cross-banner, all white and stepping
on the white stripe; on the white cross of the Agnus Dei is a shortened
red cross.
Instituted by the former municipal council on 17 May 1963.
I've used Ralf Hartemink's Mijdrecht
Coat of Arms for this.

Flagdescription: seven horizontal stripes of white and green, proportioned
2:1.
Adopted 26 Nov 1962 by municipal resolution.
The population of Wilnis was 3.600 in the settlements Wilnis (seat),
Groot-Mijdrecht, Noorden (part), Woerdens Verlaat.
On 1 Jan 1989 it became part of the new municipality of De Ronde Venen.
In 2003 it became world-famous because in a very dry summer it was hit
by flooding, caused by extreme draught.
