N.V. Stoomvaart Maatschappij "Westpolder". Sources vary with the colour
of the letter. Talbot-Booth 1942 and 1944 gives it as green for describing
the design appearing as a panel on the funnel, not showing the actual flag
but normally they would be identical. Later ABC Foreign Coastal Freighters
for the funnel panel gives a black "W" and this is supported for both panel
and actual flag by Wyt's Digest of 1960. Presumably this adds up to it
being a very dark shade, whichever the colour.

Cornelder's Scheepvaart Maatschappij N.V., Rotterdam, (1917-1967) was
the manager of:
- N.V. Algemeene Nederlandsche Scheepvaart Maatschappij 1917-1922
- N.V. Cornelder's Scheepvaart Bedrijf 1922-1929
- N.V. Stoomvaart Maatschappij "Westpolder" 1929-1967
- N.V. Motorvrachtschip "Magna Pete" 1948-1958
- Cornelder Lijn: Rotterdam-Londen v.v.
- Constantine Lijn: Rotterdam/Antwerpen-Oporto/Lissabon
See this
webpage.
The flagchart in Wyt's Digest, 1966, shows for Cornelder's a green flag with a white diamond (touching the edges), a black "W". This flag is nearly identical to the one FOTW shows for "Westpolder", and identical to the one Neal Rosanoski describes.
Though the company lasted till 1967 the Cornelders are still quite active
in Rotterdam in the Royal Burgers Group, where they acquired 65 % of the
stocks, as well as in Asia and Africa (Beira, Quelimane). I found a logo,
but no flag as yet of the new company.
