Coat of Arms

Delt av blått og sølv ved enkelt trappesnitt skrått utover. In English: Per fess bevilled outwards azure and argent.
As far as I am aware, there is no name for such variation of partition line in classical English heraldric terminology. A line is angled if it forms two right angles, and it is bevilled if it forms angles of different size, but it is meant to make "Z" shape (as in carpenter's bevel). So I decided to call that one "bevilled outwards" and if you come up with a better one, please do...
Apprvoed by the royal rsolution of 19 September 1986 after a drawing by Inge Line Thallaug. [c2j87]
The design depicts the shape of Skeikampen (a.k.a. Langsuen.) mountain, covered in snow against blue sky. The municipal web site shows a nice photo of that feature.
