Approved by the royal resolution of 13 January 1984 after a drawing by Truls
Nygaard, following the original proposal by Hallvard Træeteberg further
developed by Hans Gerhard Sørensen.

The "sticks" are canting for Stokke. Three of them signify three parishes
Stokke, Skjee and Arnadal.
