Gmina Kotla is a rural gmina (commune) in Głogów County, Lower Silesian Voivodship, in south-western Poland. Its largest village and administrative seat is Kotla, which lies approximately 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) north of Głogów and 98 km (61 mi) north-west of the regional capital Wrocław.
Area: 127.75 sq.km (49.32 sq.mi) Population: 4,129 (2006) German name: Kuttlau land under cultivation - 53% forests - 37%Rumors were circulated about German authorities hiding there valuables and documents taken from Głogów just before the advance of the Red Army in April 1945.
