Established in 1327 by the privilege given by Władysław Łokietek to
two brothers, Wolfram and Hilary to cut lumber around the royal village
Dłużec.
Presently, an important center of the rubber industry (Stomil Wolbrom
SA and JV Tokai Rubber Poland).
Also, truck parts manufacturing (second in size in Europe), construction
and lumber industry and a power plant.
Arms and flag adopted on December 12, 2002 (resolution # II/8/02).
"Arms: on the blue renaissance shield an image of the crowned head
of Władysław I Łokietek (Ladislaus
I the Short)
Flag mirrors the Arms with the addition of the name WOLBROM in black
capital letters along the bottom edge of it."
