Arms and flag adopted on March 14, 2003 (resolution # IV/25/03).
"Arms: on a blue shield an image of Święta Katarzyna (Saint
Catherine of Alexandria - patroness of the local parish and, since 1996,
of the entire commune of Tyczyn. She is dressed in a white and red Roman
robe and holds a palm frond in her left hand and a sword, pointing downward,
in her right hand.
She is crowned and her head is encircled by a golden aureole.
Flag: rectangular piece of cloth in dimensions of 0,75 m by 1,8 m divided
into three bands:
vertical, red band at the hoist has dimensions of 0,45 m by 0,75 m.
The rest of the flag is divided horizontally into two bands: upper,
white of a height of 35 cm and lower, blue of a height of 40 cm.".
