Elbląg -rural commune, Elbląg County, Warmińsko-mazurskie Voivodship - German name: Elbing.
Gmina Elbląg is a rural gmina (commune) in Elbląg County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodship, in northern Poland. Its seat is the town of Elbląg, although the town is not part of the territory of the commune.
Area: 192.06 sq.km (74.2 sq.mi); Population: 6,462 (2006)

Arms and flag adopted on March 27, 2003.
"Arms: on the silver shield a red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) sitting on the branch of hazel tree (Corylus) with three green leaves and holding a four-leaf clover (shamrock).

Flag: a rectangle composed of three horizontal bands: red-white green. On the middle, wide, band the Arms are placed."
The law ("Statut") doesn't specify the width of the bands, but Jens figured it out (from the proof sheet provided as an addendum to the law, I guess).
