A variation of the flag of "Jaysh al-Ummah" c. Dec. 2023; here using the
name: "Jaysh al-Ummah al-Salafi fi Bayt al-Maqdis" ('The Salafi Army of the
Ummah in Bayt al-Maqdis"). The top line is the Muslim "Declaration of Fatih":
"There is no god but Allah...his messenger is Mohammad". Sadly, the bottom line
in partially hidden -- the only visible letter is "n". Jerusalem is also
referred to as: Bait al-Maqdis, Bayt al-Maqdis, or Bayt al-Muqaddas. Maqdisi
(Arabic: مقدسي) is an Arabic nisba referring to a Jerusalemite. It is derived
from Bayt al-Maqdis, an Arabic name for Jerusalem, by way of the Hebrew Beit
HaMikdash, the Temple in Jerusalem. Today, the common Arabic name of Jerusalem
is al-Quds.
