Shield Gules, parted by a Cistercian bend fimbriated Or, in dexter base two heraldic fountains placed alongside the bend, in sinister chief a nimbed dove Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "OTA".
Meaning:
The dove is representing the Divine Holy Spirit, the local patron saint. The fountains are referring to the local riches of water and they are called "the eyes of water". The bend is referring to the Cistercian monks of Alcobaça, who had cultivated the area in the Middle Ages.
