It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field (village rank).

The arms are Vert a vixen Argent garnished Sable with eye Gules and two sheaves of rice Or tied Gules all set in one and two, basewavy of Azure and Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "RAPOSA - ALMEIRIM" in black upper case letters.
Meaning:
"Raposa" means "vixen", so the arms are canting.
