Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a cross o fthe Order of Santiago Gules, between three scallops Gules ordered 2:1, and flanked by two corn cobs Or leaved Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "VALADARES - BAIÃO".
Meaning:
Cross and scallops are alluding to St. James the Elder, the local patron saint.
