Shield Or, two halberds Sable bladed Gules crossed per saltire, in chief an olive tree eradicated Vert fruited Sable, in base a plough Gules bladed and chained Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "SÃO MATIAS - BEJA".
